This was well beyond her wildest dreams, and the feeling was just plain awe- some." ------------------------------------------------------------ Background: ----------- This fanfic series came out of a conversation I had with a friend about what would probably happen to the senshi if they ever went to the "Urotsukidouji" world. In terms of the "Sailor Moon" story line, it takes place between Japanese episodes 74-75, or, between Rubeus' death and Sailor Pluto's first appearance. In the "Urotsukidouji (Overfiend)" story- line, it takes place during part III, episode 1, right after Faust receives the green ball from the idol. I tried to keep the continuity of both storylines as best as I can, but some incongruities developed due either to necessity of plot, or from gaps in the continuity of the series themselves. "Urotsukidouji" storyline: -------------------------- The year in which the series takes place has minor gaps in its continuity. For example, if one pays attention, part I takes place in 1993. Amano has a flashback where Suikakuju causes the great Kanto earthquake in 1923, and when they confront each other after Nagumo starts destroying the world, Amano says that event was "70 years ago." Part II, in the scene where Faust first appears as a grown man, places the story in "Tokyo:199x". As this story seems to be a "side adventure" that takes place inside the storyline of part I, there's apparently no problem. The real problem is between parts III and IV, where part III places the time at 20 years after Nagumo destroys the earth, and part III, episode four, in a conversation between Caesar and his computer, says it is 25 years after Nagumo (between 2013 and 2018 figuring from the dates thus given), part IV, which picks up at the exact same year part III left off (Buju and the others are still on the road to Osaka), places the story "in the 2020's." Taking this contradiction into account, I took the closest thing I could to a middle ground and set the date at exactly 2020, assuming it to have been about twenty years since Nagumo purges the earth, instead of exactly 20 years, and also because it sets the de- struction of the earth in the late 1990's ("199x," remember?), this allowing it to work along with the Sailor Moon timeline in the early-mid 90's. Needless to say, this therefore takes place before Amano or Megumi have any idea that Nagumo's the Overfiend, so the sex scene between Megumi and Mamoru has definite merit. Also, the idea of calling Faust's green ball the "Loc- Nar," and giving it power over a being named Ulotec, came from the movie "Heavy Metal." "Sailor Moon" storyline: ------------------------ The timeline here presents little problem to the story, and there are subtle little elements which I drew out and enlarged upon, such as Mamoru being bisexual (Anyone who watches his interaction with Fiore in the "R" movie can make that out, and this includes the senshi, if you remember Ami's comment). Acknowledgements: ----------------- Obviously, the first people I should list would be Naoko Takeuchi and Toshio Maeda, without who neither "Sailor Moon" nor "Urotsukidouji" would ever have existed. The creators of "Heavy Metal" too, though I honestly don't know their names as of this writing. But the Loc-Nar and Ulotec are their ideas, not mine. Furthermore, all disclaimers concerning who owns the rights to whatever series, whether over the manga, the anime, or the merchandising toys, apply to this fanfic series also. Conclusion: ----------- So far, this is all I can really think of, except to say that part 1 will probably be the tamest in this entire series (it's such a bitch having to set up plot elements), and all the rest will just keep getting better (or so I hope).
